A word from SNC founder, Lisa

'In 1997 I moved to the North East and started work as a PE Teacher in Stockton. In an attempt to meet new friends, I joined a netball team but quickly found that the team was very focussed on performance on the court and didn’t provide me with any social opportunities or friends my own age.  
By September 1998 I’d met enough PE teachers in the area to cobble together seven teacher friends with enough netball knowledge and ability to enter a team in the league and from there Stockton Netball Club was born!
From the outset, it was agreed that Stockton Netball Club would be a friendly, social netball club welcoming players of all abilities. 25 years later, it’s still going strong with a thriving junior section and five adult teams.
Club friendships have resulted in members being each other’s bridesmaids, godmothers to children, drinking pals, work colleagues & friends for life. Juniors became senior players, coaches, committee members and team captains.
We continue to cherish the social side of the netball club offering a friendly place to play, improve and keep fit. We love to welcome new netballers and work hard to support our members to develop as players, coaches and umpires. Roll on the next 25 years!'
